Organisations supporting local governance, and in particular local and regional authorities and non state actors, are encouraged to sign this document so it becomes a reference document a European level. Through this non binding signature the actor : - Shows its willingness to participate to the debate on aid effectiveness at European level
- Commits to respect the principles of the Charter in its work
- Communicates to the Secretariat an action that it implements and that is respecting the spirit of the Charter
- Commits to the principle of participating to promote this action / these initiatives at European level through the activities that will be carried on in the framework of the Charter.
