The work of the technical secretariat is steered by a follow up committee and defined by an action plan drafted in cooperation with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Commission.

The first follow up committee of the Charter following the establishment of the technical secretariat was convened on21 June 2010 in Brussels. Co-presided by PLATFORMA and the European Commission, this committee discussed of the first work initiatives taken by the secretariat. A strong demand was observed for the composition of a case studies publication, onwhich the secretariat is now working.
